Maggie Spear

Maggie Spear is Director of Human Resources at the Ohio Department of Agriculture, where she leads the department’s human capital strategy and workforce initiatives, including employee and labor relations, workforce planning and employee services. With more than a decade in public service, she has held leadership roles with the Governor’s Office, the Department of Administrative Services and the Department of Youth Services. Spear holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from The King’s College and an MBA from Capital University. She lives in Canal Winchester, where she keeps bees and is active in her local community garden.
