Columbus, January 15, 2019 – Leadership Ohio today announced Dr. Lisa Duty as its new executive director.
“We are really excited to have Lisa in this role for Leadership Ohio,” said Board President Todd Kleismit. “Lisa is an innovative, creative talent that will help Leadership Ohio build the strongest experiential leadership program possible.”
The program cultivates transformative statewide leadership development experiences that elevate leaders’ knowledge, perspective, and connections from a community to a statewide level. Leadership Ohio is currently accepting nominations for its 2019 class, which begins in April.
As Executive Director of Leadership Ohio, Duty is focused on inspiring action and innovation in service to the state. A lifelong advocate of learning and inspired citizenship, Duty received her Ph.D. in Global Education from The Ohio State University with cognates in Democratization and Education Transformation.
In addition to her leading role with Leadership Ohio, she is the Founder of Innovation Partners America, a national education and nonprofit consultancy that has helped launch game changing nonprofits like Imagine Worldwide and counseled global start-ups like Teach the World Foundation. Prior to Innovation Partners, Duty was a Founding Partner at The Learning Accelerator, Senior Director of Innovation at KnowledgeWorks and an adjunct faculty member at The Ohio State University’s (OSU) College of Education and Human Ecology.
Leadership Ohio’s Board of Trustees, many of whom are graduates of Leadership Ohio, have leadership knowledge, skills, and experiences ranging from federal and state governments to the Pentagon, and publicly traded companies on the NYSE -- and across sectors such as genetics, history, aviation, energy, law and aerospace engineering.
